The "encountered a problem communicating with your project" message are issues when project servers are unable to be reached because they are down for maintenance, overloaded with requests, changed address, or other reasons for communication failure.
This message is common for SETI@home when they are maintaining their servers once a week. This is also being seen with BURP on a fairly regular basis. The recommendation right now is to come back later to make the changes for those projects.
What projects are you encountering this with? At what frequency do they occur (all the time, once an a while, etc)?
I run five projects and am receiving that message from all five. They are climatechange, milkyway, spinhenge, world community, and einstein. I tried rebooting, thinking that somehow it was a problem with my computer, but that didn't change anything.
It's been happening today only, except for world community which has never responded my efforts in that regard; it always stays at 100%.
Hmmm. I just checked again and as Roseanne Roseannadanna used to say, 'Never mind!' They all worked this time.
Go figure!
Thanks, Spark, for wanting to help.
