I recently went to try out progress thru processors, however after adding the app on facebook, and downloading the software, the application just reports "you do not have any projects. please add a project", so i did some looking though pages and such, and i made a login to grid republic, and tried the support article regarding the signing key issue, about detaching, then reattaching a mananger, however the app still reports no projects, and on the facebook page, no computers are listed. ive also tried reinstalling the application on the computer, and removing the app via facebook. here are the messages from the application.

Sorry to hear you are having troubles.  I wonder --

  • Were you a GR user before you tried to add PTP?
  • Are you attempting in install on Linux?

no first time was not a gr user, so just installed, then it asked for the ptp email/pass, which i entered. then after that i noticed it had no projects for the first time

you wrote "....first time was not a gr user, so just installed, then it asked for the ptp email/pass, which i entered..."

So here's the thing: (a) when you join PTP, in most cases, the installer should not ask you for email + PW.   but under some circumstances it does ask.  in these case, though it does not want your FB email+PW; it wants your PTP credentials.  you can get your PTP credenials only here: http://apps.facebook.com/processors/credentials.php

So try this --

  1. Open your desktop software
  2. If you are in "Simple View", click the "Advanced View" button in the lower right
  3. In the menubar, click "Advanced", then click "Stop using GridRepublic"
  4. In the menubar, click "Tools", then click "Attach to account manager"
  5. Specify www.gridrepublic.org
  6. Enter the email + PW you see here
...Let me know if that gets you going...

Yea, where i said it first asked for email/pass it had a link to that ptp credintails page that you linked, which i used the first time. i had also tried that from the documentation page under the signing key issue page. however i tried it again and it didn't fix it, it accepts the username/password then fails with the signing key issue.

27/06/2012 6:00:49 PM        [error] No signing key from account manager

if it matters when i tried removing the facebook app and re adding i selected i already have a account, and used the GR details, so the email listed in the link you supplied is my actual email address
