Sorry for the delayed response, we are looking into this "bad email" issue.

There is a ticket for our developer to look into this issue. Could you post what version of the program you are using? Open the program and under the help menu item > about

If you can post the times you see this it would help us compare to the performance alerts we are recieving as we have moments of high load.

Note: i checked my email address at the gridrepublic>home>my account page.
anytime i make a change (country, name, etc.) and click 'apply' the result is 'none'

Same issue so I upgraded to 7.2.33 x64 and still get the same error.

I am able to log into my account via the webpage and everything appears to be working.  One goofy thing is that it says it has not seen my computer in over a year, but its been running this whole time.  Just now got this message in my notices so decided to check the log.

Same here. Log into GR on web correctly. Re-installed to latest BOINC client and Vbox V7.2.39.  Changed password in GR, Removed and re-attached GR from BOINC - same fault. I've had this fault since about Nov13 or perhaps earlier.  Stopping firewall and vvirus scanner - no effect. Running BOINC as admin - no luck. Windows7 fully patched.

I needed to detach gridrepublic as the boinc acct mgr & when I tried to reattach gridrepublic I receive an error response that either the email or pswd I entered is bad.

At the same time I receive a notice "Message from account manager: bad email address".

I logged into gridrepublic successfully with the same pswd and email I'm trying to use in boinc 7.2.4 (x86).

Incident last occured 03-29-2014 at 03:31:24 EST.

Count me in on this.

Found it weird, since all looks fine according to website.

Any news regarding this?

The cause of this "bad email address" problem isn't known, but it seems to be an issue somewhere within the BOINC client software.

The solution in the past has been to completely uninstall the BOINC client from your computer and install it again. Unfortunately, this includes deleting (or renaming) the BOINC data directory from your computer, which includes any work in progress and any local BOINC settings. When you reinstall BOINC, it will be as though you are installing on a new computer.

If anyone wants to give it a shot, the process is:

  1. Uninstall BOINC
  2. Delete (or rename) the BOINC directory in c:\ProgramData
  3. Reinstall BOINC
  4. Attach to GridRepublic again using your email and password

Be sure to back up that BOINC data directory if you're concerned with losing any work in progress, that way you can put it back later, if needed.

Another thing that might work without reinstalling is to detach from GridRepublic and then reattach using a different URL.

For example, instead of using: http://www.gridrepublic.org
--try: http://gridrepublic.org
