Hello.
I signed up and installed the GridRepublic desktop app for Windows, but my computer isn't listed under the "My Computer" tab of the website. It does show me my Android device, as I had previously installed the BOINC app for Android, but not my desktop computer.
When I go to the "computers" tab and click "add", it shows me the download button for the GridRepublic desktop application. If I re-run the application installer, it finishes with the message "You are now sucessfully attached to this account manager. Click Finish to close." When I click "Finish", the window disappears, the GridRepublic website opens in a new browser, tab, and, still my computer is not listed. If I go back to the "computers" tab and click "add", I get the same thing I saw before: a download button for the desktop application.
I do know the desktop application isinstalled successfully. I get the GridRepublic screenaver - with the message displayed in the screensaver "GridRepublic is not attached to any projects." But I can't attach project, because it's not listing my computer.
So far, I've tried logging out of the website, and then logging back in, and then hitting the "refresh" button under the home/my computers section of the website. I've rebooted my computer. I've performed repair installs. From the desktop application, I've selected advanced/select computer and entered "localhost" in the field labeled "host name". None of that has worked.
I'd appreciate any help in getting this resolved.
